Thug Life Army Exclusive - New book to allege Snoop Dogg’s cousin killed Tupac over stolen songs PDF Print E-mail
Written by Anton Batey ~ Thug Life Army

Did the late Tupac Shakur steal one of his greatest, most emotional songs? New book by filmmaker R.J. Bond will claim that a “confession letter” given to Fox 11 News host Chris Blatchford revealed that rapper Lil’ Half Dead (who’s real name is Donald Smith), who is the cousin of rapper Snoop Dogg, had the famous song Brenda’s Got A Baby stolen from him by Tupac Shakur in the summer of 1991, which lead to him killing the rapper in 1996.

This “confession letter” was given to Blatchford in June, 1998, and was written by a clinically diagnosed paranoid schizophrenic named Robert Anthony Soria, who is currently serving time in Sierra Prison for molesting a child. Soria was an informant of Blatchford at the time. Blatchford and his partner Daniel Leighton did little with the letter, with Leighton claiming that the letter was “nonsense”, and that “the informant was making claims that could not be substantiated”. Soria claimed that the three men involved in the killing was rapper Lil’ Half Dead, Malcolm Patton and Danny Patton. The informant claimed that Malcolm Patton shot at CEO of Death Row Records Suge Knight twice and missed, that Danny Patton’s gun jammed and that Lil’ Half Dead shot and killed Tupac.

According to Soria, the killing stemmed from Tupac Shakur stealing one of his greatest songs, Brenda’s Got A Baby, from Lil’ Half Dead, who gave it as a demo to Tupac in the summer of 1991. Note that there is no record of him rapping until 1993. Deon Evans, the producer and co-writer of Brenda’s Got A Baby, also completely dismissed this claim as ridiculous. Lil’ Half Dead worked with his cousin Snoop Dogg on his 1993 album Doggystyle on Death Row Records before signing to Priority Records in 1994. According to Soria, at some point in the future Lil’ Half Dead had a meeting with Tupac in Reno, Nevada which resulted in the violent beat-down of Half Dead. There has never been any evidence or mention of this the past 18+ years. Days later, he was supposedly chosen by Reggie Wright, Jr. to partake in the killing of Tupac and Suge Knight. The other two chosen were Soria’s neighbors, Danny and Malcolm Patton. It is interesting to note that Danny Patton was affiliated with the Leuders Park Piru Bloods while Half Dead was affiliated with the Long Beach Crips, a fact which makes Soria’s take that much more unreliable.

Soria claimed that Malcolm Patton decided to confess to being part of the murder out of remorse. According to Soria, Malcolm confessed, with Soria’s sister transcribing. Malcolm and his brother Danny were contacted recently regarding the contents of the letter, and not only refused to believe what they were being accused of, thought that they were recipients of a practical joke. After laughing it off a considerable amount of time, they revealed that Soria was the “crazy friend” who always told made-up stories to seem more interesting. They also revealed that he was mentally ill. Currently in prison for performing sexual acts with someone under the age of 14, court records indicate that Soria is also a clinically diagnosed paranoid schizophrenic, a claim substantiated by his ex-wife and other family members.

Filmmaker R.J. Bond got hold of this letter less than two years ago and has been using it in theatrical teasers as the truth regarding the murder of Tupac.

Straight Outta Compton' Gang-Style Shooting Was No Stunt PDF Print E-mail
Written by TMZ

The N.W.A. flick "Straight Outta Compton" just got christened with a drive-by shooting ... right in front of the movie crew.

Eyewitnesses tell TMZ ... the gunfire erupted outside the Compton Courthouse last week when some neighborhood guys, not actors, flashed gang signs at a passing car.

We're told the gunmen were NOT targeting the crew -- but since they were setting up outside the courthouse the bullets came dangerously close. One nearby civilian was hit, and collapsed next to the set ... but survived.

The L.A. County Sheriff's Dept. tells us the shooting is under investigation. They have not yet determined if it was gang-related.

We're told filming will continue this week in a rough area of Compton ... even though many members of the cast and crew are shaken, and worried about their safety.

Mitt Romney's Secret Weapon: Clear Channel Radio PDF Print E-mail
Written by Frank M. Miranda

Conflict of interest? Checks and balances issue? Meaning of the phrase:

"Counterbalancing influences by which an organization or system is regulated, typically those ensuring that power in political institutions is not concentrated in the hands of particular individuals or groups"
Beginning of Daily Kos article::::
width=

In 2008, Bain Capital acquired Clear Channel Radio and 850 radio stations for $24 billion, and records show 14 of the company's directors have contributed more than $700,000 to Romney's campaigns. Romney left the firm in 1999, but still rakes in millions from his sizable share of Bain investments and pays 15 percent tax.

Romney's Bain Capital controls the board of directors of Clear Channel.  These are people who started giving to Romney in 1994. This is a social and economic network that is deeply involved in Clear Channel and tightly controlled. These are Romney's friends and allies going back to the very beginning of his political career.  And now they control Clear Channel Radio, America's largest and most powerful FM and AM radio station corporation.  It operates 850 radio stations and reaches 110 million Americans.

Clear Channel syndicates most conservative talk radio shows including Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Glenn Beck and Michael Savage.  And what about all that "free" advertising that Romney gets every day on hundreds of radio stations across the country on these talk shows?  What better way to control the message of conservative talk radio than to BUY it?  Rush Limbaugh was given a $400 million contract in 2008 when Bain Capital purchased Clear Channel.  He broadcasts on over 600 radio stations.  Sean Hannity is heard on over 500 stations by 13.5 million listeners.  Hannity also received a new and lucrative contract when Bain purchased Clear Channel in 2008.

It's quite a propaganda budget...but if Mitt Romney wins the White House it's worth it, right?

In a stunning article from Wayne Barrett of Newsweek and The Daily Beast from March 2012, Romney and Bain were outed as the money behind conservative talk radio.  Bain bought Clear Channel in 2008 then took over its board of directors with the goal of influencing public opinion during the presidential campaigns of 2008, 2012 and beyond.  With millions of dollars now being donated to the Romney campaign from Clear Channel, Americans should wonder just how much control Mitt Romney and Bain Capital have over conservative talk radio show hosts Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity and Glenn Beck.  These shows reach tens of millions of listeners every day.  Sean Hannity reaches even more viewers on his Fox News television show.

Conservative talk radio show hosts rely on Bain Capital for their livelihood.  That can't be good for fair and honest opinions on their shows.

John Singleton to direct Tupac Shakur biopic PDF Print E-mail
Written by Gerrick D. Kennedy
Thursday, 13 February 2014 18:17

The biopic of slain rapper Tupac Shakur finally has a director. John Singleton has signed on to rewrite, direct and produce the long-gestating film, according to Variety.

Singleton was previously linked to the project years ago, but the deal fell through, adding to one of several hurdles that stalled the project.

Last year, as fans were mourning the anniversary of Shakur’s death at age 25 due to complications after a 1996 drive-by shooting in Las Vegas, news broke that the often-delayed project had gained new steam.

Morgan Creek Productions announced it had teamed with Emmett Furla Oasis Films to co-finance and co-produce the film. At the time producers were working with a script, and expecting a new draft before production was supposed to begin this month.

Singleton will soon begin reworking the script, with hopes of beginning production in June, according to the Variety report.

In 2011, Morgan Creek was developing the project, once known as “Tupac,” with Antoine Fuqua (“Training Day”) attached to direct, and launched an unsuccessful online casting call to find a lead to fill the shoes of the polarizing, often-embattled rapper.

The film is expected to chronicle Shakur’s prolific rise as a rapper and actor, his infamous legal troubles, his time at Death Row Records and, of course, his killing, which came at the height of the bitter East Coast-West Coast rap rivalry.

His slaying, like that of peer Christopher Wallace (a.k.a. Notorious B.I.G.), remains unsolved -- although theories about who gunned down the two are among hip-hop’s eeriest mythology.

A legal battle between Morgan Creek and Shakur’s mother, Afeni, over creative control also added to the project's hold-ups -- both parties eventually settled and Afeni will serve as an executive producer on the film.

James G. Robinson and David Robinson, along with Program Pictures’ L.T. Hutton, will also produce.

Singleton coming aboard is a major coup for the project.

The director has masterfully explored the complexities of life in urban America with unflinching social commentary in poignant films such as “Boyz N the Hood” (which earned him two Academy Award nods), “Higher Learning” and “Baby Boy.”

More important, he had a close tie with Shakur, having directed the late rapper in 1993’s “Poetic Justice” alongside Janet Jackson.

“Tupac was the guy who I planned to do a lifetime of films with,” Singleton said. “His passing deeply affected my life as well as countless people in this world. His life story is as important to my generation.”

Shakur’s extensive music catalog will be featured in the film.
