D/R Period who has worked with hip-hop and rap artists Jay-Z , M.O.P., Smooth Da Hustler, DMX, Onyx, Cam"ron, Freeway, Queen Latifah, AZ, Nas , Case, Asford & Simpson, Goodfellas, Foxy Brown, Public Enemy, The Diplomats, Juelz Santana, Keith Murray, Killer Mike, Lumidee, Queen pen, Kool G Rap, 8 Ball & MJG , and many others is teaming up with K-CINO and will hit the road this fall with an array of celebrity guests on a 25 city club tour to promote their forthcoming projects “Quarentine” Album/DVD and “The Bottom Line” respectively; and now they are giving that next hot artist or group a chance to hit the road (up to 4 cities) with them.

“Tha Awakening Artist Competition” (TAAC) committee has pulled out all stops to separate this competition from all others. TAAC is not only giving the chance of a lifetime for an artist(s) or group to win an opportunity to share the stage and perform in up to 4 cities alongside D/R Period, K-CINO of SSC Records, and many celebrity guests; the grand prize winner will also receive:

- Feature spot on “Tha Awakening Tour” DVD

- Collaboration produced by D/R Period (at his discretion) featuring K-CINO and placed on the “Tha Awakening Tour” DVD soundtrack

- 26” Flat Panel LCD TV and Home Theater System

- Face to face meeting with a Industry Executive

- and much more

10 additional finalists will be chosen and receive recognition on

The contest submissions will begin on June 30th at 7:00 AM EST and end August 12, 2005 at 11:59 PM EST.
