Just when we were getting use to not hearing her name every 5 minutes (she has been locked down since September 19th 2006), ‘Lil’ Kim Countdown to Lockdown’ the chronicles of hip-hop rap artist Lil'' Kims last two weeks of freedom as she tied up her business affairs, said goodbye to friends and made peace with herself as she prepared to serve her 366-day prison sentence is set to air on BET Thursday, March 9th. The series consists of 6 episodes put forth in half hour shows. BET and production partner Edmonds Entertainment deliver full access to the NY hip-hop rap artist known as the ‘Queen Bee’s, aka Lil'' Kim; life and her entourage as she paints the town twenty-four hours a day attending sexy fashion shows, star-studded parties, music video shoots, and glamorous shopping trips. The hip-hop rapper Lil'' Kim then begins the physical transformation to becoming Kimberly Jones, peeling off the layers of hair extensions, acrylic nails and stage make-up. Final destination: the penitentiary, where Kimberly turns herself in to authorities. This is Kim's real life with all of its glamour, drama, comedy and tragedy.
