During 1996, before the murder of Tupac Shakur (2Pac), it was said that Tupac (2Pac)intended to start his own record label, ‘Makaveli Records’. It was to feature prominent East Coast acts; one of the artists he intended to sign was hip-hop veteran Big Daddy Kane. Tupac (2Pac) and Kane even recorded a song before the hip-hop icon and rap legend Tupac (2Pac) was murdered. The track was entitled ‘Wherever U Are’.

Now hip-hop veteran Big Daddy Kane has a new rap debut, he will be the voice of Black Enterprise magazine's Keys to a Better Life throughout the month of April.

Black Enterprise magazine's Keys to a Better Life, brief business reports airing twice daily on 29 Clear Channel radio stations.

Big Daddy Kane, aka Antonio Hardy 38, one of the most versatile artists to emerge in the late 80s with classics such as "Ain''t No Half-Steppin''," will cover topics including personal finance, homeownership, credit, and health.

"Black Enterprise is doing big things by providing important financial and homeownership information to young, Black America," says Kane. "These issues are important and I am honored to be a part of it."

The Brooklyn native, who was saluted during last year's VH1 Hip Hop Honors, has appeared in films throughout his career including 1993's The Meteor Man and Posse. He currently oversees his three-year-old company, Mahogany Entertainment, and can be seen performing alongside Grammy Award-winning hip-hop band The Roots in Dave Chappelle's concert movie Block Party. Kane's independent film, Dead Heist, will be released on DVD this summer.
