Boo Hoo Politics Are Making Some Re-Think This Election |

When Michigan and Florida held their presidential primaries early they knew the ‘rules’ and decided to break them anyway. When Sen. Obama and Clinton started their run for the presidency they knew the rules. We all know there are rules for a purpose. As many young voters enter into the election process, mainly because of Sen. Obama, what are we showing them by the States who broke the rules and the Clinton camp now whining because they chose to break the ‘rules’? Do over’s and second chances are not the way to go about this. The rules are supposed to be the rules and should not be changed mid-stream. Also this wild idea of Sen. Obama taking the number two spot to clinton makes many of us want to just say forget it. Many young voters were energized by this election. Many thought that their participation would be welcomed and that their involvement was long coming but now we wonder why. Do over’s and the number two runner trying to whine her way into the white house, it is starting to look as foolish as the same old politics many of us ignored for so long. If there is a ‘do over’ and or Sen. Obama teams up with clinton, I and many feel the only way to handle it is to just walk away and ignore all the games that todays politics bring with it. Why waste our time if rules can be changed, or super delegates will choose for us? Many of us were raised with rules. We were taught the value of rules and like it or not we learned to live by them. My outlook for this election is bleak. Seems the good old boys will have their way no matter what the voters say. I do not know if it is possible for Sen. Obama to just run as an independent now or not but it seems his party is the one hurting him now. I once saw a spark in the Democratic Party but with all this it is fizzling. If there are do over’s or Sen. Obama is a number 2, I will not vote at all and would recommend others to sit this one out also. If they don’t care about us and they are going to do whatever they want to do anyway, there is no sense or use in wasting our time. |
