The Hip Hop Congress is visiting Ohio in hopes to mobilize community around Health Care Issues Jan 3rd – Jan 11th, 2007. Hip Hop Congress (HHC) members Shamako Noble (President) DLabrie (Northern California Regional Director/Nat. Board) and Dr. James White (Co Advisory Committee Chair) will be in Ohio with the intention of connecting with as many folks involved in or connected to the Hip Hop / Urban Arts Community as possible. This trip is in collaboration with UNITE HERE, a labor union involved with the SPAN Council-a group organizing for single payer health care throughout the state of Ohio. This trip will include visits to Cleveland, Toledo, Columbus, Athens, Dayton and Cincinnati. We will be meeting with Artists (Music/Visual), Organizers, Youth Activists, DJ's, Educators, Promoters, Dancers, Professors, Community Leaders, Youth and Media Correspondents throughout the state. Also note that the Hip Hop Congress will be holding our Annual National Conference in Ohio in June 2007. They would like to extend a warm welcome to the Ohio community to participate in this Historical Conference, Collaborate with HHC, and mobilize around this single payed health care issue which will affect the whole state and possible ignite a nationwide movement. Hip Hop Congress (HHC) is an International Network, which will allow the Local Hip Hop Community a chance to connect to a larger global movement. We offer Artist Support, PR, and Much More. Most of all HHC is a bridge between the Hip Hop Community and Education/Civic Engagement This is usually a win win for everyone involved. Remember "You don''t join US we join you"!!
