In a rare and riveting appearance, Dr. James Cone of Union Theological Seminary ( http://www.utsnyc.edu/NETCOMMUNITY/Page.aspx?&pid=353 )appeared on the December 5th edition of "The Cedric Muhammad and Black Coffee Program," the popular talk-show featured weekly at The Black Coffee Channel (http://www.blackcoffeechannel.com/ ). "We are honored to feature the appearance of such a critically important voice and thinker in Black America. I am convinced that the problems in Black culture, economics, and politics cannot be adequately addressed until the issue of religion, spirituality and theology are placed front and center, not in a strident manner, but in a carefully thought out, broad-minded and historically-rooted discussion. There are few individuals more qualified than Professor James Cone to lead us into such an important activity. Whether one is a Christian, Agnostic, Atheist, Muslim, Deist, or Hebrew, Professor Cone's presentation is accessible, non-dogmatic, and intelligent. His interview on Black Coffee Channel should be studied by all - especially those at Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs), Seminaries, and institutions of religious training and teaching - Mosques, Churches and Synagogues, to name a few," Cedric Muhammad stated of the interview's importance.
