Legendary Hip Hop Journalist Davey D interviews hip hop artist and activist Jasiri X and One HOOD out of Pittsburgh.

Jasiri X made a mark not only in hip hop but with the mainstream with his controversial hit song FREE THE JENA 6. Jasiri X is a gifted artist of socially conscious hip hop who has meaning in his rap. He is a member of the Nation of Islam and is part of the One HOOD project out of Pittsburgh. In this interview Jasiri X explains how he tells young up coming hip hop MC’s the best thing they can do is read. ‘Words are our weapons”.

Jasiri X is more than a hip hop MC and thru this interview you can see his intelligence and wisdom. The insight and history he brings into Pittsburgh hip hop and The Nation of Islam (NOI) in hip hop is very enlightening.
