The National Million Woman March Organization is planning to launch several of its powerful new "Five Year Action Plan" (5-YAP) components in early 2005. One of these ground breaking pro-active units is The African Women For Reparations" Cadre (AWFR-Cadre). The AWFR Cadre will strive to increase the necessary awareness and participation of Black women as it pertains to the African Reparations. Not only will the AWFR assist in making certain that the world hears the demands made by the great grand mothers, mothers, daughters, and Sistahs of African descendants (both nationally and worldwide) regarding the US paying Reparations, the AWFR Cadre will further raise up the spirits (and continue the work) of our shero Queen Mother Moore and other Black women who fought for African liberation and self-determination. AWFR is a National MWM Organization component consisting of Black women groups, organizations, individuals, etc., who wish to collectively work, progressively, (in and with a specific Sistahood mind set) for the obtainment of African Reparations and all that it entails; by all means necessary. The AWFR will engage in and provide information, research data, training, activities, resources, etc., relevant to its mission, to Black females, in particular, as well as to our children and the African community in general. The AWFR will support all relevant legislation, present and future strategies, and activities initiated by others, (as well as its own) as deemed appropriate. Membership is open to any Black woman (or girl) who is in agreement with the demand for African Reparations and the AWFR position and mandate. Upcoming Information Sessions will also take place in New Jersey, New York, DC, Maryland, Delaware, Boston, and Michigan in Jan.and Feb. 2005.
