The Tupac Amaru Shakur Center for the Arts (TASCA), founded in 1997 by Afeni Shakur, mother of the multi-talented hip-hop rap icon Tupac Shakur (2Pac), is excited for this week’s arrival of Felton Eaddy’s “I Love Africa Traveling Museum,” in celebration of 2006’s Black History Month. The highly-acclaimed collection will be featured at the Center from Wednesday, February 22 through Friday, February 24 and will be open from 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM daily. Admission to the Traveling Museum is free. Mr. Eaddy’s time-honored and much-loved “I Love Africa Traveling Museum” is culled from a permanent 125-piece art collection. Come join us on this unique trip through Africa, which combines these ancestral artifacts with storytelling, singing and poetry to experience the living history of the continent. Don’t miss out on this rare opportunity to interact with our cultural heritage in a way the entire family will enjoy.
