Entertainment attorney Dina LaPolt has been honored in Out Magazine's December issue as part of the "Out 100," honoring remarkable contributions by members of the gay community in 2005! Dina LaPolt is one of the most well-known and well-respected entertainment attorneys in America and this year she has been thrust into the spotlight even further thanks to her integral role in the making of the Oscar-nominated documentary "Tupac: Resurrection." Dina has been instrumental in creating rap icon Tupac Shakur's multi-million dollar empire and is currently closing a deal to release a new album of previously unreleased and released material in 2006, the 10th anniversary of the death of the rap icon Tupac (2Pac), in addition to an interactive book containing Tupac memorabilia never before seen. Also, Live 2 Tell, the only script written by Tupac (2Pac), may be turned in to a movie as early as next year. Dina LaPolt, who is at the helm of West Hollywood-based law firm LaPolt Law, P.C., is involved in every aspect of her clients'' careers and is relentless in her pursuits on their behalf. She is now working with legendary rock guitarist Mick Mars of Motley Crue as well as Chastity Bono, who is starring on VH1's Celebrity Fit Club 3 in January 2006 -- the highest-rated show in the history of the network. In addition, LaPolt is brokering a deal with Here! TV, America's first gay television network, to develop a made-for-television movie co-created by Bono. She spearheaded the signing of R&B singer Sunny Hawkins, who recently finished her run in a lead role in Broadway's RENT, to Hidden Beach Records and brokered the deal for Los Angeles rock outfit The Bellrays to have their song "Evolution" featured in a Nissan commercial worldwide. The Bellrays'' vocalist Lisa Kekaula can also be heard on the Grammy-nominated song "Good Luck" by Basement Jaxx!. The band just signed a record deal with Cheap Lullaby Records which was also brokered by LaPolt's firm. Dina LaPolt will be featured in a one-hour special on Logo, the newest channel from MTV Networks, this month and will be teaching "Legal and Practical Aspects of the Recording and Publishing Industries" in the Music Business Department at the UCLA Extension Program in January 2006.
