The hip-hop film "RIZE" has been added to The Black Man Film Festival this weekend. The film "Beyond Beats and Rhymes" is already in the festival.

"RIZE" is the mind-blowing, fast-paced film that comes from the streets of South Central Los Angeles. It shows young people who have created a new dance form. They have created their own alternative to life on the streets.

The film includes a hip-hop sound track and the voices of the young people speaking for themselves about their lives and their dance.

"Rize" will be shown on Friday, Nov. 4, 2005, in a program beginning at 7 pm sharp. (The film "Hardwood" will also be shown.)

All films will be shown at Auburn Avenue Research Library, 101 Auburn Avenue N.E., Atlanta, Georgia.

The second hip-hop film is "Beyond Beats and Rhymes". Features hip-hop and rap artists Mos Def, Chuck D, Fat Joe and other artists talking about videos today and the Black male image. Hip-hop's 50 Cent, Busta Rhymes and other artists are interviewed. It will be shown Saturday, Nov. 5, at 7 pm.

All events are free and open to the public. Call 404-432-2194 for more information.
