Ebony Burks is a talented up and coming singer/songwriter and actress hailing from the creative oasis and home of "Funk" Dayton, Ohio. She can be viewed as "a hybrid lyricist" meaning her song lyrics are a crossbreed from various music genres and eras.

My father always made me listen to great music and musicians, I think I knew the whole BeeGees catalog before I was six, he made sure I was exposed to all genres. It was like he knew this was my calling. She admits.
