Recently CRNLive.com’s Frank Miranda had the opportunity to interview the hip-hop activist rap artist Immortal Technique for the “Chicano Pick Series” which will air during the month on CRNLive.com’s Studio B. Immortal Technique is one of the most powerful independent hip-hop artists out today. The truth in his lyrical flow makes him a unique and influential figure in hip-hop.

Immortal Technique was born in a military hospital in South America, hip-hop rap artist and activist Immortal Technique came to the United States in the early 80's to escape the civil war that was breaking out in his native Peru. He now resides in Harlem which had its own share of drama. Growing up on the streets of New York, Immortal Technique became enamored with Hip Hop culture, writing graffiti and starting to rhyme at an early age.

Hip-hop artist Immortal Technique is known around the world for his no holes bared lyrical execution of rap of the sad truths about America’s urban conditions.

In the last few months Immortal Technique has performed with Nas, KRS 1 and other big names in Hip-Hop and Rap. He will be touring the Mid-Atlantic to promote his new release entitled “The Middle Passage” slated for release later in the year.

Just like the release of Revolutionary Vol. 1 & 2 this new CD promises to be a “Very powerful street oriented album, it will be brutal and I’m not gonna show anybody any mother fucken mercy!” stated Immortal Technique on his CRN interview.

Aside from the political messages found in his music, one can expect a dialog of truth surrounding the plight of Latino’s in the country. You will notice the contrast of his message to corporate news, this can be explained by the constant disregard for the Latino people from the current administration and the media in their subliminal attempts to change our way of thinking to coincide with their corporate and selfish greed.

So, as Immortal Technique says: “This sh*t is for real over here!” Tune in to the “Chicano Pick Series” during the month to learn more about his new album and future projects.
