For the moment it seems that Judge Gerald Escala, of the New Jersey Superior Court, has paved the way for some major changes at the hip-hop bible’s headquarters. David Mays, founder of The Source, and Ray ‘Benzino’ Scott have been replaced by former Source employee Jerry Miller. David Mays and Ray ‘Benzino’ Scott are still pursuing another action in New Jersey, claiming the new board of the self proclaimed hip-hop bible ‘The Source’, illegally seized control of the hip-hop and rap publication.. With investment groups, private-equity firms, loans, liens and lawyers; this is surely not the last we will hear on the control of The Source Magazine. |
