Born in East Los Angeles and raised in Inglewood, hip hop cultures rap artist Eastwood has gained a worldwide loyal fan base in the last 10 years. Eastwood made a name for himself as an ‘inmate’ of Hip Hop’s legendary rap record label, Marion ‘Suge’ Knights Death Row Records; the ex home of Tupac (2Pac), Snoop Dogg, Kurupt, and many other hip hop notables. After leaving Marion ‘Suge’ Knights Death Row Eastwood later joined west coast hip hop artist “The Game’s” label, Black Wall Street Records. Now Eastwood has signed with Jaded Entertainment to do a recording deal for his highly anticipated album, ‘Making History’, set to be released in early 2007. While attending Fresno State on a basketball scholarship, Eastwood returned to L.A. to do some soul-searching on his career path. "After high school, I just couldn’t get this rap game out of my mind", he confesses. When asked how he discovered his passion for rap, he said, “My homeboy, Livewire, used to write raps while we listened to Tupac on his boom box at our high school. One day, I tried spitting some of my own bars with him, and I surprised myself. I never looked back.” Eastwood’s unique ability to “ride” melodies has become his trademark which differentiates him from other rappers. Most rappers simply ride a beat. He also deftly transitions his flow from single to double-time, which is one reason his songs sound so fresh and catchy. Jaded Entertainment founder, Klee Irwin, comments, "Eastwood impressed me right away. He’s fantastically creative, both lyrically and with his flow". Putting his money where his mouth is, Irwin committed to help Eastwood make history by doing something that’s never been done before. He said, “I won’t allow a song to go on a Jaded album unless it’s an addictively catchy single in the making. There are no ‘filler’ songs on our albums. So, I have no problem producing the first album in the history of music with a video for every song.” Watch for Eastwood’s ‘Making History’, set to be released in early 2007 thru Jaded Entertainment. |
