Natris G, Rapper/Lyricist, Founder and CEO of Cross My Heart Records (Selecto) gets a lot of help from his friends on his debut CD: Me And My Guys. Fast rapper Twista brings his hit making talents and machine gun delivery to the project along with Chicago underground legend Crucial Conflict, singer Danny Boy and the in-house talent of rapper/lyricists Bamm Bamm and Zeo. Me And My Guys will drop Tuesday, December 14, 2004. The first single from the CD: the instant classic His World (with a banging remix of Gladys Knight's Midnight Train To Georgia) is already heating up with heavy club play and mix show spins since its release in October. Unfortunately, the label suffered a setback last month when Natris G was imprisoned on drug trafficking charges. Despite Natris G's legal difficulties, the labele will release the CD on time. "I just handle my business," Natris G explains. "People get locked up every day. I''m innocent. I caught a case, and it will be resolved in my favor, I assure you, but in the meantime we have a CD to get out. This project is too important to me. I threw up writing this. Everything came up. In the Midwest we soak up everything from the East, the West and the South, plus all the game right here in Chi. I put all the game I know on this CD." Natris G has put in all the game and all the right players on his debut CD - Me And My Guys (Cross My Heart Records/Selecto) featuring Twista, in stores December 14, 2004. |
