Oakland rap artist V-White gets ready to release his upcoming masterpiece - Perfect Timin'', his first project under the V-White/ SMC umbrella. The album is so-named because there truly is no better time for the sound of the Bay Area. The album features production from Ant Banks, Traxamillion, E-A-Ski and Big Zeke and boasts appearances by hip hop and rap notables The Delinquents, Mistah F.A.B., Too Short, Casual of the Heiroglyphics, Ant Banks, and V's crew The Neighborhood (Big Zeke, J-Lee, Playa Los, 2 Face, Chris Lockett & Alicia Ward). As a member of The Delinquents and one of the originators of Oakland's trendsetting rap scene V-White has proven himself to be a force to be reckoned with in the Bay Area and beyond. His latest effort, Perfect Timin'', is just a progression of that. Hailing from East Oakland, V-White personifies his hometown- so much so that people say V-White is Oakland. V-White's sound can be easily classified as gangsta rap, but you can tell by the tone of his voice combined with intricate detail of the game as displayed on “Cinco De Mayo” (an ode to drought season) that these aren''t just stories he's telling. “It's important to us to represent the Bay Area as true to form as possible,” declares SMC Co-Founder Will Bronson. “Oakland has such a rich history, we knew we needed someone that was a direct reflection of that and when E-A-Ski brought up V's record, it was obvious he's the real deal and we had found our guy.” With talent, ambition and a great label behind him, it is truly Perfect Timin'' for V-White.
