Although he now resides in Raleigh, L.E.G.A.C.Y. (Life Ends Gradually And Changes You) was born on the military base Fort Bragg and raised in Fayetteville, North Carolina.   On the brink of living the life of a stick up kid, he turned to Hip-Hop in his early teens to halt the downward spiral that had become part of his life “Hip-Hop kept me out of trouble” laments L.E.G.A.C.Y., “it taught me respect for myself and allowed me to earn the respect of others along the way.”

Indoctrinated into the Justus League Camp in 2001, L.E.G.A.C.Y. has already showed and proved on a number of Justus League projects, including NC State Of Mind and Triple Play.   With a wide array of musical influences (ranging from rap artist Rakim, Run-DMC,  LL Cool J, Big Daddy Kane, and rockers The Doors, Jimi Hendrix and Kurt Cobain) L.E.G.A.C.Y. aims to take Hiphop fans back to the era when emcees where leaders and could be counted on to deliver LP’s that abounded with creativity and originality.  With his debut, Project Mayhem, L.E.G.A.C.Y. does just that with moving 9th Wonder produced tracks like “Pain In Life” and “I’m Nothing.”

Being that L.E.G.A.C.Y. is already being billed as the next star to emerge from the Justus League camp and with his debut being exclusively produced by 9th Wonder (who contributes 11 tracks) and DJ Khrysis, it’s not ironic that L.E.G.A.C.Y. choose to entitle Project Mayhem’s lead-single “I’m A Star.”

L.E.G.A.C.Y.’s debut, Project Mayhem, will be released on 5-17-05 in conjunction with 6 Hole Records and Hall Of Justus Music Group.
