Late hip-hop rapper Ol'' Dirty Bastard's estranged wife Icelene Jones has controversially won control of the rapper's estate away from his mother - after proving she was married to him. Icelene was married to ODB - real name Russell Jones - for 19 years and they had three children together, but his friends insist the pair hadn''t shared living space for years before his untimely death on November 13. And ODB's manager Jarred Weisfeld - who labeled Icelene "greedy" for ignoring the star's four other children from previous relationships - is disgusted the tragic rapper's mom Cherry Jones is not in charge of his estate, because she was always the most important influence in his life. Cherry herself is horrified the court ignored her son's other children and is calling on legal officials to reward them financially to ensure their futures are secure. Weisfeld - who is also Cherry's partner - rages, "It should be Cherry Jones, his mother (in charge of the estate). She's the one he lived with for 12 years when he was estranged from Icelene. She's the one who made sure he ate. She took care of him." ODB collapsed and died in a Manhattan recording studio just days before his 36th birthday. Source |
