While there was an eight year hiatus between his critically acclaimed EP, Episodes Of A Hustla, and his 2003 proper debut, Only The Strong, Big Noyd has remained a mainstay on the scene, holding it down with numerable scene-stealing guest appearances aside his Infamous teammates (Mobb Deep, Alchemist, Infamous Mobb).

As of late, Big Noyd’s grind has become relentless!  Along with a recent collaboration (“Do It Man”) with Masta Ace on his latest sterling effort A Long Hot Summer, Noyd has also added his QB swagger to Alchemist’s First Infantry LP, joining the D-Block on the sinister “D-Block To QB” and on Mobb Deep’s Jive Records debut Amerikaz Nightmare (“Get Me”).  Yet, only 14-months after Only The Strong, Noyd has already put the finishing touches on his sophomore LP, the aptly-titled On The Grind; which will be released by Monopolee Records (whose roster also includes Infamous Mobb and Trez) on 1-25-05.

The hard hitting On The Grind is primarily produced by Havoc and Ric Rude (who has also produced tracks for Prodigy’s solo-debut, Littles, Infamous Mobb, Tragedy Khadafi, Rahzel and Destiny’s Child)  and once again finds Big Noyd collaborating with his Infamous brethren almost exclusively, as Havoc who produces six tracks and Prodigy and Havoc appear on a robust eight cuts; including the LP’s Ric Rude produced lead-single, “Come Thru” f/Havoc, and the follow-up singles, the Havoc produced “Kill Dat There” f/Prodigy and Noyd and Alchemist rekindle their obvious chemistry on “Louder” f/Prodigy.

With so many “break-up and internal strife” rumors currently encircling Mobb Deep and the Infamous circle, Noyd’s On The Grind proves the click remains as tight as ever, which Noyd readily attests too “To me, Havoc and Alchemist are the illest producers on the planet, forget about the rumors, there ain’t no team like the Infamous team.”

In conjunction with the release of On The Grind, Noyd will be doing select shows with G-Unit’s Lloyd Banks and also touring overseas with Jin in China.  You can also catch Noyd in Mobb Deep’s Murda Muzik documentary, where he plays the movies/DVD lead-character.  Big Noyd’s On The Grind will impact on 1-25-05!!
