In case you don''t know, Chicago Hip Hop artist Twista pens a column for the Chicago Tribune. That's a good look for him. I''ve always liked Twista. He's a real down to earth guy and its reflected in his columns. In a recent edition he spoke out against the war and suddenly you had anonymous writers saying that he was somehow losing his street cred.. How wack is that? Must be some folks working for the government. We say props off to Twista for taking a stand. Hopefully it will inspire others to follow suit.

On another note.. I recently read an article in the Source that spoke about the lack of Hip Hop artist taking a stance against the War. They pulled a couple of quotes from David Banner and Boots of the Coup. Personally I thought the article was off base considering the large number of anti-war Hip Hop songs put out by artists. I''ve personally heard everyone P-Diddy to Russell Simmons on down to those we would expect like a Chuck D, Talib, Mos Def etc speak out against the war in Iraq.

I''ve included a list of songs I''ve complied and want people to add more so I can put out a more definitive list of anti-war songs put out by Hip Hop artists. So please drop my a note and lemme know some other songs I need to peep.
