Dana Owens of Newark, NJ, known to us as the hip-hop rap MC, Cover Girl and Actress Queen Latifah will receive a ‘Star’ on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The ceremony will be today in front of the historic Grauman’s Chinese Theatre at 6915 Hollywood Blvd.. The Oscar nominated actress has enjoyed great success as a rap artist, actress and as a beautiful Cover Girl Model. Queen Latifah has worked with many in the movie industry and many in hip-hop and rap including Afrika Bambaataa, KRS-One and De La Soul. She also has been credited for discovering Naughty by Nature.
The ex-rappers latest album shows that this woman can sing. ''The Dana Owens Album'' by the Queen herself is pure magic and should be investigated by all. This album shows that the female rap artist has come full circle and has proven she is much more than a ‘pretty face’. The album contains classic jazz and R&B tracks. Her voice is seductive, unlike her rap style, but the album is a testament to her wide range of abilities.
