The sister of the late rap icon Tupac Shakur; Sekyiwa ‘Set’ Shakur announced that she will release an urban fashion line for women called ‘Madameveli’. “Madameveli embraces the oddities each woman possesses and accentuates the physical and intrinsic features that make her unique,” Sekyiwa ‘Set’ Shakur says The name ‘Madameveli’ is a take off of the late rap icons hip-hop urban wear line ‘Makaveli Branded’. That brand was launched 7 years after the assassination of the hip-hop rap icon Tupac Shakur. ‘Makaveli Branded’ was introduced by Afeni Shakur and went to retailers nationally in November of 2003. The brand has enjoyed favorable review and support by Tupac Fans worldwide. Sekyiwa ‘Set’ Shakur’s Madamaveli line is set to hit stores in Fall 2006. |
