Hip-Hop Artist Young Buck Gets Probation |

Rap artist Young Buck, member of hip-hop click G-Unit pleaded no contest to a reduced charge of assault likely to produce great bodily harm from charges stemming from last Novembers Vibe Awards taping. The assault occurred during an altercation in which Jimmy James Johnson attacked rap artist and hip-hop producer Dr. Dre at the taping of the awards show last November. Los Angeles Superior Court Judge James Brandlin sentenced the young rap artist from Tennessee to three years probation, and ordered the rapper to perform 80 hours of community service. The young rapper had initially faced the more serious charge of assault with a deadly weapon, which carried a maximum penalty of eight years in prison. David Darnell Brown aka Young Buck will have an encore performance on January 26th when he and fellow hip-hop artist and G-Unit member Lloyd Banks will be in court to address gun possession charges in New York. Chris Lloyde aka Lloyd Banks and David Darnell Brown aka Young Buck were arrested back in August in New York after a concert at Madison Square Garden, They were on the Anger Management 3 tour, which starred fellow rappers Eminem and 50 Cent. |
