Proving yet again that he is much more than a so-called "controversial emcee", hip hop artist NYOIL has been asked to co-host "World Have Your Say"; BBC World Service Radio's global discussion program on their visit to New York this week. Having left a lasting impression on the hosts and producers when he was a guest on the show in January, NYOIL was their first and only choice as co-host when they planned their New York trip. "This is a great opportunity. How often does a rapper do interviews and never get asked to spit a verse? How many times does media that doesn''t traditionally talk about hip-hop interview rappers? I am blessed to be in this position and I want my supporters to know that I will continue represent them and make them proud" humbly states NYOIL, who's song and video "Y''all Should All Get Lynched" was banned from YouTube in October after 48 hours and almost 6000 views. The "World Have Your Say"show will be broadcast live from Sylvia's Soul Food Restaurant in Harlem on Wednesday March 21st from 1 – 3pm. Guests will include Nellie Hester Bailey, co-founder and director of the Harlem Tenants Council, Inc., Queens Councilman Leroy Comrie, who has teamed with Abolish the "N" Word and proposed the symbolic moratorium of the "N" word to city council, as well as some local Republican representatives. There will also be an audience of people from the local community who will be able to participate in the discussions. As for the topics, "It does very much depend what the audience wants to talk about, though one common topic that keeps coming up is gentrification. There may also be a big breaking news story that cuts into that too. The point of our show is the audience and their issues", said show producer Anna Stewart of the BBC.
