In the mid 1990’s the hip hop group Fugees appeared on the hip hop scene with their unique sound of hip hop, with elements of soul, and Caribbean music (particularly reggae).

The members of the hip hop group were leader/rapper/singer/producer Wyclef Jean, rapper/singer Lauryn Hill, and rapper Pras Michel. Their album ‘The Score’, was a multi-platinum and Grammy-winning success with over 18 million units sold world wide and then in 1997 they went their separate ways.

In September of 2004 they reformed to headline a New York concert for Dave Chapelle's movie Block Party. From there they went on to open the 2005 BET Music Awards and even released single ‘Take It Easy’ later that year.

Hip hop was excited to see them together again and everyone was waiting for a official reunion of the hip hop threesome.

Well former Fugees rap artist Pras, aka Pras Michel, has ruled out talk of a reunion with his former band mates Lauryn Hill and Wyclef Jean. The rapper, of Haitian heritage, Pras insists negotiations for a comeback are now "dead".

Pras says plans to record a new album have stalled completely, and Pras'' comments suggest Hill is the one responsible for the cancelled project.

Pras says, "(It's) straight dead. You know, unfortunately Miss Hill, she got some things she needs to deal with. I wish her the best, but life goes on."

Seems something many were hoping to see since the groups electrifying performance at the 2005 BET Music Awards will now not take place.
