The film Death of a Dynasty offers a funny and satirical look behind the closed doors of Damon Dash's and Jay-Z's hip-hop empire. The film was shot in New York City, and centers around Dave Katz (Moss-Bachrach), a journalist at a hip-hop magazine who is sent on assignment to uncover the often comedic underworld of Roc-a-Fella Records run by rap / hip-hop producer Damon Dash (producer of The Woodsman) and hip-hop rap star Jay-Z (Fade to Black). Dave believes he is a member of the Roc-a-Fella team and privy to the daily "goings on" at one of the worlds hottest record companies. Although he is actually "two timing" the magazine (feeding sordid gossip items about the feuding partners to local gossip columns), the journalist thinks he is a real "playa" only to later find out that he is the one being played. The film Death of a Dynasty should be in theaters April 29th The film stars: Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Devon Aoki (D.E.B.S), Capone, Robert Stapleton, Rashida Jones ("Boston Public") and Damon Dash. There are 'special Appearances'' by many of today’s top hip-hop and rap artists. Damon Dash, Doctor Dré, Flavor Flav, Jay-Z, Ed Lover, Busta Rhymes, Sean ''P.
