At first no one wanted to sign rap artist Kanye West. Everyone wanted him to create hip-hop beats and produce but did not take the rapper serious as a rap artist. Well his latest ‘Gold Digger’ shows how wrong some industry people can be. After 2 successful albums: The Collage Drop Out and his recent release Late Registration, Kanye West has showed he is a force to be reckoned with. The Roc-A-Fella star has shown he is a dominate force in hip-hop and as a rap artist and just not as a producer. He continues to drop good music and continues to be out spoken and on target musch of the time, no wonder he made Time Magazine’s list of the 100 most influential people in the world. Not only for his contributions to hip-hop but in other areas such as political views and his religious views. According to BillBoard, Kanye West's "Gold Digger" featuring Jamie Foxx its 14th week on the chart, continues to dominate the Billboard Hot 100. The song is No. 1 on the big chart for an eighth straight week and also tops the Pop 100 for a sixth and the Hot Ringtones tally for an eighth. Watch Kayne's ''Gold Digger'' HERE. |
