The last studio album from hip hop group Wu Tang Clan member and solo rap artist Ol'' Dirty Bastard will be released November 7th; the second anniversary of the hip hop artists death. The album titled "A Son Unique" features a stellar lineup of hip hop and rap guests such as Macy Gray, Missy Elliott, RZA, Ghostface Killah, Raekwon, Method Man, Fame from M.O.P., N.O.R.E., Pharrell, and more. As one of the founding members of the legendary hip hop group Wu-Tang Clan and as a solo hip hop artist, rapper ODB has sold over 7 million albums and recorded some of the most influential hip-hop of the ''90s. Ol'' Dirty Bastard (aka ODB aka Osirus aka Joe Bananas aka Dirt McGirt, Dirt Dog, aka Unique Ason and aka Big Baby Jesus) became one of hip-hop's most beloved and controversial figures. His wildly erratic antics made him a fan favorite the world over and also a reluctant superstar whose life was cut short just as he began to reach new creative heights. Although ODB released stellar albums like Wu-Tang's pioneering debut "Enter The Wu-Tang (36 Chambers)" and his 1999 solo album, "Nigga Please," which spawned "Got Your Money," much of ODB's career has been overshadowed by his run-ins with the law. After being released from prison in 2003, ODB signed with Damon Dash's Roc-a-Fella Records. Work on "A Son Unique" began in earnest in 2004 with The RZA at the production helm. This often-delayed event release will finally see its release date -- just like ODB would''ve wanted it. ODB's "A Son Unique" to Be Released on November 7th, 2006. |
