Jury selection begins Feb. 28th for Lil Kim’s upcoming trial.

The jury questionnaire in the female rap artist Lil'' Kim's perjury case asks potential jurors if they recognize the names of rap artists Notorious B.I.G and Junior Mafia.

But it no longer asks if they know some other hip-hop rappers of notoriety, like Sean (P. Diddy) Combs, the late Tupac Shakur, Eminem and 50 Cent.

Manhattan Federal Court Judge Gerard Lynch told prosecutors yesterday to delete those names because those rap stars have nothing to do with Lil'' Kim and could give potential jurors the wrong idea of what the case is about.

The 29-year-old hip-hop rap queen is charged with impeding a grand jury investigating a gunfight outside Manhattan radio station Hot 97 on Feb. 25, 2001.

Prosecutors said hip-hop rap artists Notorious Big and Junior Mafia will be mentioned during the trial. Witnesses will testify they met Lil'' Kim and members of her posse through Notorious B.I.G..

Prosecutors said they put the other Hip-hop and rap names on the questionnaire to probe potential panelists about their interest in rap.

A pool of 200 prospective jurors will fill out the 15-page questionnaire Wednesday.

Rapper Lil'' Kim declined comment after the conference with Lynch.

"Law and order is finding someone who is guilty. Law and order is also about finding someone who is not guilty. Lil'' Kim is not guilty," said her attorney Mel Sachs.
