Born Ricky Jones and raised in the 17th ward of New Orleans, rap artist Fiend lost his brother at a young age; the loss made a strong mark on the eventual rapper and darkly tainted his world view.

Fiend later embraced rap music and signed to Big Boy Records, also home to Mystikal at the time. The label released Fiend’s first hit single, "Baddest Muthafucka Alive," and also Won''t Be Denied (1995), which featured another hit, "All I See."

These singles inspired hip-hop mogul and rap artist Master P to sign the blossoming rapper to his No Limit label and debut him on the I''m Bout It soundtrack ("Don''t Mess Around") (1997).

That same year Fiend most notably contributed to Master P’s crossover hit "Make Em Say Ugh" as well as its heavily MTV-rotated videos on numerous other No Limit releases and preparing his own, There's One in Every Family (1998) a Certified Gold selling release. The next follow up was Street Life (1999).

Now rap artist Fiend is back with his long awaited follow up to Street Life and the Certified Gold selling hood classic There’s One in Every Family.   Although you may not think you’ve heard Fiend recently, this is in fact not so.  In the last few years, Fiend has never stopped grinding out hits.  Fiend has been working full time making beats and creating hits for the likes of hip-hop and rap artists Trick Daddy, KLC, Trina, Juvenile and Twista to name a few along with with top producers Just Blaze, Swizz Beats, Needles, Cool & Dre, JR, Nephew and more.

Fiend’s album ‘The Addiction’ set to be in stores June 27th , released on Fiend Entertainment
