Houston hip-hop MC Chamillionaire, otherwise known as the ‘mix tape messiah’ is keeping his fans on the street happy with his latest mix tape release while they await the release of his debut album Controversy Sells.

This follow-up to the DJ Whoo Kid tape The Truth, which was released as a 2 disc set ~ one version being ‘Chopped and Screwed’ by his DJ, OG Ron C ~ features Shady Records’ own Stat Quo, an Atlanta hip-hop rap artist with whom Chamillionaire has done many mix tape tracks and from whom the music industry is also expecting big things.

"In Texas we drop ''em big and sell big units," Cham said. "We live off of mix tapes in Texas. We was making money before in Texas doing the mixtapes, but it really wasn''t nothing because it was under the radar. The industry didn''t know about it. This year we''re coming to the forefront. Everybody is getting deals. It's a beautiful thing that everybody is starting to embrace it. "When he was asked about the upcoming album ‘Controversy Sells’ Cham said "Texas has another hero that's about to stand on that big screen."

The tape entitled Big Business also features tracks from Chamillitary regulars Rasaq and 50/50 Twin as well as Houston legend Bun B, Nitro, Buddy Boie, Donny Arcade, LTDA and T. Pain. There is also a classic track with Chamillionaire, Stat Quo, and New Orleans greats BG and the late rap artist Soulja Slim and the Chamillionaire featuring David Banner street anthem, Talkin That Talk, which is featured on the soundtrack to the Nelly starter “The Longest Yard.”

Big Business will keep fans of both Chamillionaire’s regular and ‘chopped and screwed’ music happy as 17 of the featured tracks will appear on the 2nd disc, courtesy of OG Ron C.
