PARI(S) HIP HOP: Two weeks of hip hop in Paris from the 19th of june to the 4th of july 2006 The non-profit making association Hip Hop Citoyens undertakes the création of a symbolic event, fédérative and of recognition in Paris and the surrounding departments about Hip Hop. For get it, the collective Pari(s) Hip Hop been formed. This is the reunion of the structures Hip Hop Citoyens, Hip Hop Résistance, Ascendanse Hip Hop, R.Style, Paris Est Mouv'', Forshow Squad and No Time Prod. From the acknowledgement of a lack of coherent investments from the parisians institutions towards this major cultural movement, the City of Paris became involved alongside this collective for the implementation of this launching edition. This initiative is especially justified as since the start of the Hip Hop in France, the Paris region set up the most important centre of artists, amateurs, associations and professionnals of Hip Hop activities. Also, the quality of creation of all the hip hop elements is a fact all over the world. PARI(S) HIP HOP has several goals : - Bring the light on the quality of creativity and dynamism of Hip Hop in Ile-de-France (Paris and the suburb) for a better recognition of his protagonists and of this culture. - Reassert the place of Paris on the international Hip Hop map. - Give a pedagogical aspect to this event, through a national and international programmation of quality that allowing a large focus on Hip Hop from his origins till our days. - Enhance some initiatives close to Hip Hop of districts city halls and intended to the youth.
