We have some sad news to report in the hip hop community. One of the hardest female rap artists from the west coast has passed.

One of the better known tracks that she had shined on was on the hip hop project ‘Bangin On Wax’ (1993). The first Bloods and the Crips united hip hop project that brought rappers from both sets together to make good music.

Bloody Mary, whose real name was Rajni Faulks was run over during a high speed chase in Compton Monday November 18th.

Long time friend and fellow rap artist Red Rum told ThugLifeArmy.com that Bloody Mary was on a motorcycle going to a Harley Davidson event when a car that was running from the police in Compton hit her, during the chase, and threw her from her bike.

Mary’s lungs where crushed, her hips were crushed and she had swelling of her brain and numerous other injuries. The doctors put her on life support and gave her 24 hrs. to live. She later was removed from the life support and just could not fight any longer. She passed November 21st.

Red Rum tells ThugLifeArmy.com that Mary’s mother is coming in from Ohio to take Mary back home to Ohio for burial. There are no arrangement details at this time, but we will update everyone as we find out.

Out of the three rappers who performed the original and legendary ‘Piru Love’, now only one survives. With the passing of Bloody Mary and the earlier passing of 4 Clips, Red Rum is the only one of the three left.

It is a shame that it takes something of this magnitude to bring Bloody Mary’s into hip hop news. She was definitely one of the best female rap artists not only on the west coast but in all of hip hop. Her style was ruff and her flow was straight at ya. She was once signed to Marion ‘Suge’ Knight’s Death Row Records, as was Red Rum.

Her passing leaves an empty spot in the hearts of many and we offer our deepest condolences to her family and her ‘extended’ family. She will surely be missed.

Visit the sites of Red Rum for more info and to support truely real west coast hip hop and rap. Red Rum can be heard on the current release ‘Rep Yo Set’. See more on the ‘Rep Yo Set’ project at http://www.thuglifearmy.com/news/?id=2797 .
