KOCH Records announced a new marketing services deal with the mighty D-Block records. The label, home to hip-hop rap aartists Sheek Louch, Jadakiss, Styles P and J-Hood, will release several full-length albums and mix-tapes under the KOCH fold. The label D-Block was created by rapper Sheek Louch with lifelong friends and fellow rap artists, Styles P and Jadakiss. J-Hood is the newest member to enter the fold. The first release on D-Block was Sheek Louch's 2003 debut album, "Walk Witt Me," which sold over 250,000 units. Sheek Louch, Styles P and Jadakiss were members of The Lox, the Yonkers-based hip-hop group who were a backbone of Sean "Puffy" Combs'' Bad Boy label. Hired as writers, the trio wrote and performed on Comb's "I Got The Power," and "It's All About the Benjamins," Mase's "24 Hrs. to Live," the Notorious B.I.G.'s "Last Day," Mary J. Blige's "Can''t Get You Off My Mind," and many others. The Lox released their debut album, "Money, Power & Respect" in 1998 -- it reached #3 on the Billboard Top 200 Charts. To date, The Lox has sold 1.7 million albums. Alan Grunblatt, General Manager and Executive Vice President of KOCH Records, says, "D-Block is the hottest label on the street. Everyone is talking about rap artists Jadakiss, Styles P and Sheek. We are thrilled to have their label on board here at KOCH."
