The super icon hip-hop rap group Public Enemy is gearing up for a hectic archived 2005 and beyond. To make a long story short there's a bit of a heavy release schedule on the Public Enemy schedule. Many distributors are spreading the brand such as ‘The World Tour Sessions’, an album of live excerpts 1987-2002 coming thru KOCH. The ‘Power To The People And The Beats and Videos’ cd and dvd respectively through Universal. And the ‘It Takes A Nation, London Invasion 1987’ a concert-documentary covering the groups first entrance to the UK back on November 1st 1987 at Hammersmith Odeon London. In fact a bonus cd of the entire show will be released with the package. Many will recognize that concert in excerpts used on ‘It Takes A Nation Of Millions To Hold Us Back’. Some classic material coming in the form of deluxe editions thru Universal of ''Nations'' called Soul Of A Nation and Fear called ''Afraid Of The Dark'' a title unused for a previous Public Enemy album. The 2 disc set will consist of a re-mastered cd of original album alongside a separate disc of outtakes, remixes, and live versions. This has been a great running series by Universal, previously releasing the likes of Bob Marley, Marvin Gaye albums. The idea will be to lead these albums straight into the Public Enemy boxset coming around late 2006-2007 just in time for Public Enemys 20th Anniversary.
