Hip-hop rap artist Master P (real name: Percy Miller) and his brother Vyshonn (rap name: Silkk the Shocker) were arrested back on January 27th in Los Angeles when police discovered two loaded handguns in a car the rap artists were in.. According to a police spokesperson, the auto, a leased Chrysler 300, was driving adjacent to the UCLA campus when pulled over because it had no license plates. At the time police found two loaded handguns, one gun near the driver's seat and the other loaded gun was stashed beneath the passenger seat. Two other passengers were not charged. The rap brothers were arrested on felony weapons possession and released on $35,000.00 bond after being in the custody of the L.A. Sheriff’s Department for a few hours. Now two months after they were both arrested, Master P and his brother Silkk the Shocker were formally charged Monday with carrying those unregistered loaded firearms. The rap artists are currently out on the $35,000 bail but are to appear in court tomorrow (Wednesday) to be arraigned on the felony carrying unregistered loaded gun charges. It has not been a good year for the Millers as their other brother, Cory Miller aka rap artist C-Murder is awaiting sentencing for a conviction of second degree homicide stemming from a shooting in 2003 of a 16 yr. old boy in a New Orleans nightclub. He could be sentenced to life in prison. |
