Multi-Platinum record and movie producer Dallas Austin signs rap group ''DA BACKWUDZ'' to his Rowdy Records imprint. From the superstar southern producer that has crafted songs for A-list artists such as Madonna, Michael and Janet Jackson, Monica, Brandy, Pink, Kelis, Heather Headley, TLC and Boyz II Men, and who also served as the executive producer of the highly acclaimed movie DRUM LINE, is looking to make stars out of the Decatur, Georgia rap duo Da BackWudz. Freshly signed to Rowdy Records, Da BackWudz, comprised of cousins Big Marc and Sho Nuff, have already been featured on a host of mix tapes, including DJ Drama and P. Diddy- Gangsta GRILLZ XII: BOYZ IN DA HOOD, as well as on a mix tape by DJ Smallz, who was named "Top 10 DJ of 2004" by MTV, a list that included the legendary DJ Clue and DJ Kay Slay. The dynamic lyricists have enlisted chart-topping artists such as Ludacris, 8-Ball, Pastor Troy, Lil Flip and Big Boi to join them on their upcoming debut album Wood Work, which is slated for an early March 2005 release. Wood Work contains a unique mixture of songs that embody Southern Crunk, West Coast Funk and Old School Soul. Their infectious first single, "U Gonna Love Me," exploded when it hit the airwaves throughout the southeastern region, which is exactly what their career will do when the rest of the globe hears their futuristic southern flow.
