In hip-hop culture we hear of violent acts all the time. A rap artist may have a problem with another rapper and things happen. Gang violence fills the streets and that is no secret. So called black on black violence is a big headline, although mostly untrue. This story touches a mans heart and soul. A 13 year old girl Danielle Franklin, was murdered by her own father – beat to death with a golf putter. According to TV station WLWT in Cincinnati, the father Gordon A. Franklin, 39, struck the 13-year-old multiple times in the head while she slept; killing her. 13 year old Danielle Franklin was killed about 7:30 a.m this past Thursday. As a father it is hard to understand how things like this can happen. A child who should be looking forward to her full and long life, but her life snuffed out by her own father, it boggles the mind. Gordon A. Franklin has been arrested and is in jail. His daughter’s funeral was today.
