The deadly rivalry between some West Coast rap artists and rappers in Kansas City may have claimed another victim. Someone shot Jerry Watkins as she rode in a car, and her friends drove her body right to a police station. Police officials confirmed that Watkins was an aunt of rap artist Anthony "Fat Tone" Watkins. He was the rap artist from Kansas City who was murdered in Las Vegas last month. Police were investigating whether Fat Tone's killing was in retaliation for the killing of California rap artist Andre "Mac Dre" Hicks. Hicks had come to Kansas City in November for a series of concerts and was shot dead on U.S. Highway 71 while being driven to his hotel. Police are still investigating. |
