Eric "Eazy-E" Wright lived a life that went up and down. He started out as a low profile gangster rapper that few people knew. Also he came from a small town out of Los Angeles that was not well known either. Though when Eazy-E went out everyone knew where he came from and who he was. Deeper than the normal hip-hop or rap of that time, Eazy-E and NWA made a mark in the music industry that is almost unapproachable to this day.

Eric ‘Eazy-E’ Wright died March 26, 1995, and the rap and hip-hop music world continues to mourn gangsta rapper Eazy-E to this day. Born Eric Wright in 1964, Eazy-E rocketed "Straight Outta Compton" to gangsta superstardom with fellow rap artist Dr. Dre, Ice Cube, MC Ren and Yella in N.W.A., and as the owner of his own Ruthless Records label, and as a solo artist before his premature death at the age of 31 from AIDS-related causes.

Between 1987 and 1991, the inimitable, most hardcore gangsta rap pioneer released four albums with N.W.A. and one solo full-length album, the double-Platinum "Eazy-Duz-It."

Album tracks and video clips spanning Eazy-E's reign as the master of gangsta rap have been collected for a new CD/DVD retrospective, "Eternal E: The Best Of Eazy-E - Gangsta Memorial Edition," set to drop August 30 from Capitol/Priority/Ruthless on the eve of the 41st anniversary of Eazy-E's September 7, 1964 birthday.

Three other posthumous releases, including the album Eazy-E which was recording before his death, "Str8 off Tha Streetz of Muthaphukkin Compton," "Eternal E," and "The Impact of a Legend" have been issued since 1995.

“But I want to say much love to those who have been down to me. And thanks for your support. Just remember : It's YOUR real time and YOUR real life”.
