Giving Aid to Israel is Supporting Terrorism by Robert The ‘war’ that Israel is waging against Hizbullah (Hezbollah) and their killing of innocent Lebanese civilians seems to be escalating beyond ‘defense’ and is turning into war crimes. How does Israel support itself? How do they pay for all these weapons they are using to invade a sovereign nations space? I see American made war planes, M-16 (American) small arms and other western war technology being used to commit genocide on those who are not Jewish. Roughly half of the government of Israel’s external debt is owed to the US, which is its major source of economic and military aid. Israel is an Economic aid recipient of: $662 million from U.S. (2003 est.) America can not live up to their own expectations so how do we expect other nations to live up to our standards. When Yasser Arafat died there were elections held. Former U.S. President Jimmy Carter went to monitor the vote. Palestinians’ freely elected Hizbullah (Hezbollah) as the new leader of the Palestinian Authority. The U.S. and its freedom seeking partners did not like the outcome of that free election and since then things have got worse instead of getting better. What can be done to end this genocide? What if the OPEC nations decided to shut off all oil? Shutting off the oil would bring the U.S. and many of their freedom seeking partners to reality. The U.S. and their support of Israel takes the giant Iraq screw up off the ‘front burner’ for awhile; so is that why the U.S. is not stepping in? If the U.S. were serious about putting an end to this war crime being committed by Israel they could shut off the supply of weapons being furnished. The U.S. has many problems of its own. Gang violence, drugs, corporate and government misuse of power but still they sit in judgment of others. The U.S. can not even live the principles that it is trying to force on other nations. If the U.S. will not make Israel stop its current genocide on Arab people then allow the ‘playing field’ to be made equal. Allow Russia or China to supply Arab Nations with arms, so there is an equal battle ground. We all hear ‘God Bless America’ being sung at all kinds of events throughout the country. What a waste of air. God can only ‘bless’ what He can agree with and what praises Him. Genocide and the killing of innocent woman and children don’t seem to be something that God can bless. As police corruption and gang violence rule the streets of the U.S. and the U.S. supports actions like those being taken by Israel against the Arab people; maybe the U.S. should be watched as a terrorist state. The U.S. was founded on violence. The massacre of the American Indian, slavery, Japanese internment camps, and dropping the only nuclear weapons ever used on people, the U.S. has lived a life of violence and has been a bully. And now we sit back and wonder why we have few friends or why the world does not want to be like us or in some cases resents us; and why everyone doesn’t want to be like us. The U.S. way of life does not work in the U.S. so how can we expect it to work elsewhere in the world. The boycotting of Israel is a major way of ending this senseless bloodshed. Giving aid and support to Israel is supporting terrorism.
The only thing all the recent actions in both Iraq and now Lebanon and Palestine proves is that future generations will be forced into this violent cycle. Hate is being created through all these actions and revenge will be the answer some seek. The choices the U.S. and Israel and their partners take today will have generations of fallout. And still the world can not see that these actions are fueling a future of violence for generations to come.
