June 18, 2005-National Youth in Entertainment & the Arts hosts the annual Youth and the Arts Conference at the Clyde C. Miller Career Academy High School, 1000 North Grand Blvd in St. Louis, MO. This conference will target youth and young adults ages 6-21. The conference is $25.00 per person, this fee includes continental breakfast, lunch, promotional items and workshops facilitated by professionals in their various fields.
Topics covered during this conference include leadership development, abstinence, money management and investing, music panels and a workshop titled “A holistic approach to success” facilitated by Benava Brooks (Vice President of Welfare to Work Programs; MERS/Goodwill, Inc.), and Nila Tuckson (Director of Human Resources; Americas Center) and “Nutrition and Teens” facilitated by the University of Missouri.
Our opening session will address “Different Careers in the music and radio industry”, facilitated by Marc Clarke from 92Q Jams “Big Phat Morning Show” in Baltimore, MD, along with Tony Scott from Majic 104.9 the “New Breakfast Crew”.
