The legendary rap icon Tupac Shakur said it best in his song called ‘Old School’ of his ‘Me Against The World’ album – “what mo'' can I say, I wouldn''t be here today If da old school didn''t pave the way’…It ain''t nothin'' like da old school.” The first annual Fresh Fest 2005 Concert is set to bring back the “Old School Sounds” of hip-hop and rap for the first time in New York City, thanks to Blackberry Entertainment Inc. These “Old School Sounds” will be brought to you by an array of talented entertainers from hip-hop’s old school such as Big Daddy Kane, Biz Markie, Chubb Rock, Dana Dane, Doug E. Fresh, Nice and Smooth, Slick Rick, the Sugar Hill Gang and Whodini. The highly respected and revered DJ’s such as The World Famous Brucie B, The Legendary DJ Scratch, S&S and opening the show will be DJ Cynnamaxx. Power 105.1’s own Ed Lover and Monie Love will host this spectacular event. Shanna Byas, President of Blackberry Entertainment, presenters of the show,says “she is pleased to bring together these renowned artists back to New York City and the Hip Hop Community”. “This concert will provide an avenue for a diverse audience to experience and share these legends performances live”.
