"This year's conference will be a celebration of African Tradition through song and dance and African Based Religion. It will also give us the opportunity to focus on our new theme and vision - Building a Better Tomorrow through our Youth", says Gro Mambo Angela who in 2007 created and actively promoted a formal rite of passage - "Chrismation" (www.chrismation.net ).

The conference festivities will begin promptly at 11:00am with a traditional "drum blessing" followed by commemorative video highlighting the congress'' 10 years of service to the people and in certifying trained priests and priestesses of African Based Religions (at Le Peristyle Sanctuary II in the Temple University area) on Thursday, August 21st.

On Friday, August 22nd and Saturday, August 23rd, there will be a host of classes for continuing education units (for the clergy) as well as lectures by former Civil Right's Activists, prominent Philadelphia Attorneys, well-respected educators and leaders in African Based Religion (at the Pennsylvania Convention Center).

Culminating the weekend on Sunday, August 24th, the organization will host their Annual Spiritual Bath, which has been said to heal the mind, body and spirit. Locals who have attended this portion of the conference have testified of the bath's power to help and heal them.
