I''m sure you heard and/or see The Drum Collective's calendar of events, but if not you can get it at many black bookstores in Atlanta, GA and on the web at http://www.assatashakur.org/forums/upload/calendar.php .  We will be releasing a community calendar of events every month -- September 1, 2004, was our starting date.  The calendar of events is not made in an individual sense but in a communal sense, because we understand that not one individual organization, organizer, community program, or leader will get us free it must be a collective effort.  This is an answer to the problem that we have been having in Atlanta, the problem of disorganization.  A common comment that is heard while organizing is "I didn''t know people were doing anything" and "I didn''t know it/what was going on."

This calendar's purpose is to get people who want to make change get a chance to find an organization and/or community program that will motivate them to fight in the cause for the liberation of African/black People.  Not only does this community calendar of events raise awareness it also allow for Us to properly support all programs, organizations, and activities.  We include all programs, meetings, events, and activities move Us forward in Our education, organization, and unification.  So if you have or know of activities that are focused around getting African/black People free in Atlanta, GA. Please contact us. We have contacted many organizations in Atlanta and we look forward to contacting you and you contacting us.  We like to add any and everyone to Our calendar of events who is working in the interest of Our People.  On the shoulders of Our Ancestors we will move forward with the help of organizations, organizers, and those who want change in the African/black communities.  You will be able to pick up the calendar at many black bookstores (guaranteed at Shrine of Black Madonna, Mutuana's Juice Bar, Lush Life Cafe, Afrobooks in West End Mall, Suna's in West End Mall, the black bookstores in S. Dekalb Mall) by Oct. 1, 2004.  Also we will be distrubing calendars on at Clark-Atlanta Univerity (on the strip) Sat., Oct. 2, 2004 so come see us then.  Also in November  we will be releasing a newspaper - For Our People: The Siafu's Drum.
