President and CEO, NCLR

The 2007 NCLR ALMA Awards is a spectacular show with some of the most amazing performances we’ve seen yet! We have special performances by Prince and Beyoncé and surprise guest appearances by Sheila E and Salma Hayak who dropped in for the celebration. We also have two special tributes in the show - Special Achievement in Television presented to George Lopez and Pioneer in Music presented to Los Lobos.

This year’s show is also an opportunity to share NCLR’s work with the American public. A special video on NCLR was created for our segment in the program highlighting our efforts on behalf of the Hispanic community, and we continue to promote comprehensive immigration reform with a white ribbon campaign that resonated with the celebrities and special guests in attendance.

The NCLR ALMA Awards is a unique program, bringing together celebrities and leaders who influence American society. And on this evening, all of these leaders, entertainers, fans, and many more come together to celebrate our Latino heritage and it’s positive impact on American entertainment and culture.

Thank you for your interest in the NCLR ALMA Awards. We hope you enjoy the show.
