Hip Hop Mogul Marion 'Suge' Knight Posts Bail Print

Hip Hop mogul, Marion ‘Suge’ Knight founder of Death Row Records, has been released from the Clark County jail on $19,000 bail after being arrested in Las Vegas early Wednesday morning.

The hip hop entrepreneur was charged with felony charges of assault with a deadly weapon, possession of a controlled substance, and misdemeanor charges of possession of dangerous drugs without a prescription and domestic violence.

The hip hop notable had the drugs Ecstasy and hydrocodone when he was arrested, police officials say.

Attorneys David Chesnoff and Richard Schonfeld, who are representing Marion ‘Suge’ Knight, said they wanted to gather information about the arrest and talk with their client before commenting on the arrest of the hip hop mogul. Marion ‘Suge’ Knight is due to back in court for a hearing at Las Vegas Justice Court on September 26, 2008.

Marion ‘Suge’ Knight is best known for building Death Row Records, the record label that many 1990’s hip hop, rap and gangster rap artist called home, including Tupac Shakur (2Pac), Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Kurupt, Crooked I, The Dogg Pound and many many others.

Death Row Records is now in the hands of Bankruptcy Trustees.
