The Tupac Amaru Shakur Center for the Arts (TASCA), founded in 1997 by Afeni Shakur, mother of the multi-talented hip-hop rap icon Tupac Shakur (2Pac), is excited for this week’s arrival of Felton Eaddy’s “I Love Africa Traveling Museum,” in celebration of 2006’s Black History Month.

The highly-acclaimed collection will be featured at the Center from Wednesday, February 22 through Friday, February 24 and will be open from 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM daily. Admission to the Traveling Museum is free.

Mr. Eaddy’s time-honored and much-loved “I Love Africa Traveling Museum” is culled from a permanent 125-piece art collection. Come join us on this unique trip through Africa, which combines these ancestral artifacts with storytelling, singing and poetry to experience the living history of the continent. Don’t miss out on this rare opportunity to interact with our cultural heritage in a way the entire family will enjoy.

The Center is located at 5616 Memorial Drive, Stone Mountain, GA. 30083 or contact them at 404-298-4222.

Please visit their web sites to find out more about the TASF, TASCA and about Tupac Shakur (2Pac).

More about the Tupac Amaru Shakur Foundation (TASF)

Founded in 1997 by Afeni Shakur, mother of the multi-talented hip-hop rap icon Tupac Shakur, the Tupac Amaru Shakur Foundation (TASF) originally began as the Shakur Family Foundation. Afeni formed the Foundation as a way to bring quality arts training to our young people. A broad range of training is offered via the Annual Performing Arts Day Camp held at the Tupac Amaru Shakur Center for the Arts (home of the Foundation). Disciplines include creative writing, vocal technique, acting, stage set design, dance, poetry & spoken word, and the business of entertainment. The Performing Arts Day Camp is open to students ages 12-18. Application will be posted under the PACamp link soon.

The Foundation has also hosted Essay Competitions throughout the U.S., charity Golf Tournaments, & awarded scholarships to students pursuing undergraduate degrees.
